APRUEBA MEMORANDUM DE ENTENDIMIENTO, SUSCRIPTO ENTRE EL G.C.A.B.A. Y EL ESTADO DE NEW JERSEY, ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMÉRICA

LA LEGISLATURA DE LA CIUDAD
AUTÓNOMA DE BUENOS AIRES
SANCIONA CON FUERZA DE
LEY:
Apruébase el Memorándum de Entendimiento que se adjunta y es parte integrante de la presente Ley, suscripto entre el Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires y el Estado de New Jersey de Estados Unidos de América, el 19 de marzo de 1999.
Art. 2° Comuníquese, etcétera.

ANEXO
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Entered into by and between
The State of New Jersey, United States of America
And
The City of Buenos Aires, Argentine Republic
WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey and the Governments of the City of Buenos Aires (herein called the Parties) wish to further develop and strengthen the businnes relationships between their governments; and
WHEREAS, trade relations between the Parties have been established and identified to be mutually beneficial; therefore, attracting business opportunities and business exchange between the State of New Jersey and the City of Buenos Aires; and
WHEREAS, the business and cultural linkages between the Parties have a positive impact on both economies and have the potential to foster increased economic, social and business activities in the future; and
WHEREAS, the Parties deem it convenient and advantageous to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate and encourage the development of business and cultural partnerships between their governments.
NOW, THEREFORE, the State of New Jersey and the Governments of the City of Buenos Aires hereby express their agreement:

- To identify areas of mutual concern and promote the exchange of ideas related to social progress and economic growth;

- To encourage the development and establishment of micro, small and medium size businesses to accomplish the goals set forth by the Parties;

- To foster and promote the interchange of individuals involved in the organization of such small business enterprises;

- To create a ten person bilateral Commission, representing the State of New Jersey and the City of Buenos Aires designed to study and examine methods to implement the intent of this agreement, five of whom will be appointed by the Governor of the State of New Jersey and five by the Head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
